The high school years are a time of tremendous change
for young people. They meet new people; they meet new ideas; they move
from being children to becoming adults; their needs become much bigger.
Our young people are precious and we want the best for them. We pray
for them, care for them and guide them. Most of all, we want them to
have a deep and growing love of God, even as God loves them. We want
them to 'glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ' (Rom.
15: 6). We want our young people to know God and His commandments. We
want to tell our young people that OUR WORLD BELONGS TO GOD: "He
is before all things, and in Him, all things hold together" (Col.
1:17).
At UNITY Christian High School, your child will find a school where
they are engaged in learning by gifted teachers. Teachers are the key
to any school; at UNITY, the teachers have been chosen for their love
for the Lord, their love of working with and guiding young people, and
their mastery of their teaching craft. These teachers will help create
a joyful atmosphere which encouraging young people to express their
faith and their concerns. The teachers will help create a purposeful
atmosphere enabling young people to be grounded in a Biblical worldview,
and to boldly seek and proclaim God's truth as they explore His creation.
UNITY will provide a strong Christian curriculum, through which young
people are challenged to acquire the skills needed for success in college,
the work place or university. Each course will be taught to both encourage
and enable excellence on the part of the students. Each year, to complement
the core courses of English, math and the sciences, UNITY will deliver
a core course in Bible or Biblical perspectives.
Because extra-curricular activities are an integral part of the high
school, students will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide
variety of activities. Through the careful guidance of teachers, these
activities will add to the profound and purposeful learning experience
at UNITY.
